Entry for Mental Illness Awareness Show 2016 - EXTENDED

I'm hoping to get another couple of entries in if I can, mental illness is something very close to my heart (or more accurately, my brain, haha!) so I'd like to do my bit.

Although Harper was definitely sold to her as an ex-racehorse, Jenny had always secretly harboured the desire to don the silks and go for a proper race somewhere with him. She knew the reason he'd been sold on so cheaply was because he just wasn't fast enough for the sport, but he made a good eventer regardless, and she didn't exactly hold it against him. This race was really a bit of fun for the pair more than anything else, and the beautiful scenery was certainly a bonus.
